The Mission Branch of the San Francisco Public Library houses material for everyone, including a large Latino Interest collection of books "which highlight the history and culture of Latin America." The César E. Chávez Branch Library was one of the first public libraries to have Spanish materials and be exclusively dedicated to serve the Spanish-speaking community in the United States. It has more than 56,000 books, CDs, newspaper, and other reading material for all ages.
