San Francisco Pride weekend is here, and we’re so excited to celebrate! One of the largest LGTBQ+ gatherings in the world, festivities include the city’s iconic Pride Festival at the Civic Center, the Pride Parade down Market St., the Grand Lighting Ceremony for the gigantic laser rainbow flag, the Annual Trans March, a Pride day-party at The EndUp and so much more. This weekend also promises theater shows, fitness classes, symphony performances, baseball games and a special exhibit at the Exploratorium. "Love Wins: A Variety Show"

The Downtown Berkeley Association and OmNomNom Productions once again bring the best drag variety show to the East Bay. Celebrate LGBTQ+ community with live music, Bay Area artists, local vendors and drag performances. This event is free, family-friendly and is sure to include mesmerizing acts, unique products and plenty of dancing. Take BART Downtown Berkeley to join the celebration at the Downtown Berkeley Plaza. 

"Company"

Winner of five Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, "Company" “strikes like a lightning bolt." It’s Bobbie’s 35th birthday party, and all her friends keep asking, why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man and isn’t it time to settle down and start a family? As Bobbie searches for answers, she discovers why being single, being married and being alive in the 21st century could drive a person crazy. Oakland Ballers v. Northern Colorado Owlz

Built by Oakland. For Oakland. Forever Oakland. Baseball is in full swing and if you're a fan and haven't been to an Oakland Ballers game yet, you're in for a summer treat! Oakland's newest professional sports team plays at historic Raimondi Park and this weekend, they take on the Northern Colorado Owlz. Find food and drink trucks, an old-fashioned neighborhood field, good fans and downright good baseball. Get your tickets here. Exit at West Oakland and grab the free shuttle or an AC Transit 29 bus to Raimondi Field.

"The Lifespan of a Fact"

An intern at a top magazine is given the assignment of a lifetime – fact-checking a masterpiece by a legendary essayist. What the no-nonsense editor means as a simple task becomes a hilarious misadventure when it's revealed that most of the facts in the essay are embellished, adjusted, or just made up. Has the essayist undermined his own work or revealed a deeper truth by playing fast and loose to make his point? Facts battle with truth when the intern bucks his instructions and confronts the essayist in this Broadway hit by Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell, and Gordon Farrell. Take a journey into the dimensions of truth at the Aurora Theatre Company, 0.1 miles from Downtown Berkeley. 

Children's Fairyland 510 Summer Fridays

The Bay Area’s favorite storybook-theme park in Oakland introduces 510 Summer Fridays, a special discount for Oakland residents ($5 per child, $10 per adult). For over 75 years, Children’s Fairyland has been a place of imagination, exploration and dreams. This summer, take advantage of the reduced entrance fees and create lasting memories with loved ones while experiencing multicultural programs, fairy-tale settings, rides, stories and animal interactions. This fairyland adventure is only 0.4 miles from 19th St/Oakland.

San Francisco's Annual Trans March + Festival

Head to Dolores Park this weekend for the city’s largest transgender Pride event. Check out the Trans March Resource Fair before marching in unity with trans and gender non-conforming people to the Civic Center where there will be a short program of music and speakers. This event continues to grow since its inception in 2004, making this year its 20th anniversary. Take BART to 16th St Mission to participate 0.7 miles away.

Laser Rainbow Flag Grand Lighting Ceremony
June 28 | Embarcadero
9-11:59 p.m.| 1 Ferry Building

The world’s largest pride flag is back for three nights, beginning with the Grand Lighting Ceremony this Friday. Spanning 4.1 miles down Market St., from dusk to dawn, the rainbow lasers start at the Ferry Building and head toward Twin Peaks. This year will be extra bright with 20 lasers signifying 20 years of marriage equality in the city. The ceremony takes place just 0.2 miles from Embarcadero.

Calvin Kai Ku Kids' Show in the Park

Head to Yerba Buena Gardens’ Children’s Garden to see Calvin Kai Ku, illusionist, entertainer and magician. More than just a magic show, this interactive event will make you laugh and spark your imagination. Fun for the entire family, Calvin Kai Ku is a man of many talents who has performed everywhere from international festivals to large production shows and private events. Catch the show 0.4 miles from Montgomery St.

Metcon Fitness Class

Join this free total-body workout in the beautiful main plaza at Salesforce Park. This metabolic conditioning class includes rounds of cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength, and while it’s definitely challenging, you’ll leave fitter, happier and sweatier than when you arrived. Join the class atop the transit center building. Get stronger at Salesforce Park, 0.4 miles from Embarcadero.

San Francisco Pride Festival & Parade
June 29-30 | Civic Center/UN Plaza

The two-day San Francisco Pride Civic Center Celebration on June 29 and June 30 is quite the BARTable event. Head to the public plaza at City Hall on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. to enjoy love performances from more than 20 community stages. Expect live concerts, cabaret acts, comedy, food, local vendors and even a family garden. The San Francisco Pride Parade on June 30 begins at 10:30 a.m. near Embarcadero (Market St. at Beale St.) and ends at City Hall (Market St. and 9th St.). "Salonen Conducts Mahler 3" at Davies Symphony Hall

Spend the evening with the San Francisco Symphony this weekend. The Davies Symphony Hall is presenting “Salonen Conducts Mahler 3.” This is conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen’s final season as SF Symphony Music Director. Enjoy the monumental score 0.3 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

San Francisco Giants at Oracle Arena 
June 28-30 | Embarcadero

This weekend, the San Francisco Giants host the Los Angeles Dodgers three days in a row. Friday will be quite the show because its Fireworks Night. On Saturday, the first 20,000 fans will get a “Beat LA” Aloha shirt, and on Sunday, the first 15,000 fans will get a Mickey Mouse Ears Hat. Take BART to Embarcadero and walk 1.2 miles, or transfer at Embarcadero to the Muni Metro N Line and pop out at the stadium. Learn more about taking BART to the game here. 

Pride for Breakfast

Register now for the Inaugural Pride for Breakfast event. Kick off Pride weekend celebrating health, movement and inclusive community. Options include a 45-minute yoga class by Haum Yoga and/or a 45-minute dance class. In addition, ticket purchasers get coffee, breakfast, giveaways and access to the Pride for Breakfast space for the morning. Join a class and get moving this Pride weekend 0.2 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

SF Pride Party at The EndUp

Celebrate Pride weekend with a day party at The Endup! Presented by The Real L Word and  Party XO, this outdoor patio celebration is sure to be another legendary event at San Francisco’s favorite day party destination. "Extraordinary!" at the Exploratorium

Witness everyday stuff as incredible art at "Extraordinary!," nine artists transform common things, like shoelaces, string, lightbulbs and saxophones into imaginative installations. If you’re feeling inspired, give it a go yourself. A hands-on DIY building area and programs for all ages let patrons get busy being creative. Experience this cool and creative exhibit 0.6 miles from Embarcadero.
