With the holidays fast approaching, we know that there's a lot to get done with a short amount of time left. This weekend, there's a lot you can do to check people off your gift giving list and have some fun. From holiday gift fairs to art walks and a lantern festival to a Fairy Winterland, there's BARTable fun on both sides of the Bay.

Winter (or fall, depending on your tolerance for the cold) is in the air and with that comes a whole lot of holiday events. Ice skating, tree lighting ceremonies and even fireworks mean you can get your holidays started right. Let's go.

Did you know Oakland was once dubbed the Harlem of the West because of the vibrant blues (and jazz!) scene that dotted the 7th Street area near West Oakland BART Station? Take a stroll along the "Walk of Fame" and pay tribute to the greats who performed in West Oakland.
Coffee, anyone? If you enjoy drinking distinctive, aromatic coffee most anytime of the day, travel by BART to the Walnut Creek Station. Take a 15-minute walk to downtown, or for convenience, hop on board the County Connection "Free Ride" Downtown Trolley (it resembles an indoor cable car), just outside the station to your left.
Everyone has at least one in their circle of family and friends — a food-obsessed individual that not only knows the difference between Gianduja (an Italian hazelnut-chocolate spread) and Nduja (a spicy Italian sausage spread), but also knows the proper pronunciation and where to source them. Good thing the Bay Area is full of epicurean-rich shops that make finding these exquisite treats a piece of cake (or Gianduia torte!).
