To kick off November, there are a ton of in-person, outdoor events that are bound to be a good time. Some are "HellaSecret," and others are more clear like maker and farmer's markets. Whether you're in the mood to get out and explore or stay home, there's something to do for everyone. Check out what's BARTable (and #virtuallyBARTable) this weekend.

Friday BARTable This Weekend

The San Mateo County History Museum will be virtually free to the public on the first Friday of the month. This month, preschool children will be invited to learn about the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), decorate a calavera (skull) mask at home, and hear the story "The Day of the Dead." There will also be online tours of the museum for adults throughout the day. The event runs from 10am to 4pm. 
 
DNA Lounge "Apothecary Raree: Dark Roots" | Civic Center/UN Plaza and Virtual
 
From the interweb heart of the DNA Lounge, join hosts Mz. K and Angela LaFlamme with DJ Prinz Xzist as they revel in the curative creative power of live electroswing and neovintage DJs, go-go dancers, and a caberet featuring the best in burlesque and variety entertainment. It'll all be streamed live from 7:30-10:30pm. The event is free but donations are accepted. You can also can enjoy some of the show at the DNA Lounge parklet which has socially-distanced socializing, pizza, and outdoor cocktails from 4-10pm. Take BART to Civic Center/UN Plaza and walk 12 minutes to the DNA Lounge.
 
 
Get ready for San Francisco's very first fully-dedicated outdoor comedy club that will take place at a secret and unique location around the City. This "HellaSecret" Comedy Show and Cocktail Night will take place at a new double-parklet with built-in socially-distanced seating. Enjoy a 70+ minute comedy show with comics with credits like Cobbs, Punchline, SF Sketchfest, NBC, and Outside Lands. Tickets are available online for the 7pm or 9pm shows and start at $20. The location will be emailed out the morning of the show. 21+ only. 
 
 
Hot on the heels of the group’s successful first installment of their monthly livestreaming concerts, pop-rock trio Hanson are inviting fans around the world to join them for the second chapter on November 5-7, which will also coincide with the November 6 release of their new album "Perennial - A Hanson Net Collection." The livestreaming concert series will be broadcasting live from the historic Cain’s Ballroom, a local music landmark in the band’s hometown of Tulsa, OK. Tickets begin at $15 for each livestream and are available online. The livestreams begin Friday at 5pm, Saturday at 11am, and Sunday at 6pm.

Join over 50 of the best local makers of jewelry, organic body and home goods, candles, paintings, and more at the Open-Air Holiday Makers Market at Santana Row from 11am to 6pm. There is also drop-in wreathmaking from 11am to 5pm, live music, good food and fun to be had. Take BART to Berryessa/North San José Station and then transfer to VTA bus line 60 or 23.
 
"Hello Kitty" Truck | West Dublin/Pleasanton
 
Fans of Sanrio's "Hello Kitty" get ready, the "Hello Kitty" Cafe Truck is making its final Bay Area appearance at Stoneridge Mall which is just a five-minute walk from West Dublin/Pleasanton Station. From 10am to 7pm near the Cheesecake Factory, fans can look forward to new exclusive goodies and limited-edition collectibles from the "Hello Kitty" line including a new cookie plush, hand-decorated cookie sets, canvas totes, bow-shaped water bottles, and more. 
 
 
Join the Cartoon Art Museum from 3-4:30pm for a virtual Cartooning Academy. Great for teens and adults and for those with special needs. The class is $20 and the link to the class will be sent to you after registration. 
 
“HellaSecret” Comedy Show & Cocktail Night | Secret location in Oakland 
 
Get ready for a “HellaSecret” comedy show in Oakland. A brand new series of pop-up (and socially distanced) live outdoor comedy shows at unique spots across the bay. A venue will be taken over and you’ll receive an email with the secret location the morning of the show. Enjoy an 80-minute comedy show with comics with credits like Cobbs, Punchline, SF Sketchfest, NBC, and Outside Lands. Required tickets run $15-20 and are available for shows at 6:30pm and 8:30pm both Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be purchased here.

In partnership with the San Francisco Ferry Building, "Head West" is a locally-owned, outdoor marketplace founded and curated by creative and small brand owner Jimmy Brower. Shop small and check out local makers, drafters, designers, artists, small brands, local shops, and more. The "Head West" Local Marketplace will be at the Outdoor Back Plaza of the San Francisco Ferry Building Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Take BART to Embarcadero Station and walk five minutes to the Ferry Building. 
 
Jack London Square Farmer's Market | Lake Merritt or 12th St/Oakland City Center
 
Founded in 1989, the Jack London Square Farmers Market has deep roots in Oakland, offering local produce and food craft products. The market provides a weekly opportunity for the community to enjoy a variety of vendors along the beautiful Oakland waterfront. Market hours are 9am-2pm every Sunday and it's operated by the Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association (PCFMA). Take BART to Lake Merritt or 12th St/Oakland City Center and walk approximately 15 minutes to Jack London Square. 
 
UNDSCVRD Sunday Market | Civic Center/UN Plaza 
Celebrate Filipino-American History Month by shopping, strolling, and dining down Folsom St. on Sunday from 11am-4pm. Enjoy two blocks of artisan markets and street art in a safe and physical-distanced manner. Take BART to Civic Center/UN Plaza and walk three minutes to Folsom St.
San Jose Berryessa Flea Market | Berryessa/North San José
The San Jose Berryessa Flea Market is steps from our Berryessa/North San José Station. Open from dusk until the dawn, the Flea Market is a not to be missed San Jose tradition where "one man's junk is another man's treasure." With over 120 acres of shopping, activities, and food vendors, there's bound to be fun around every corner. Walk-in admission is $3 and the entrance is located near Garden at the Flea and the East Lot.
