BART has recently added more trips serving SFO just in time for summer travel. Another option to get to SFO via BART is to drive to Millbrae Station and use the BART app to purchase multi-day reserve parking (formerly called airport/long term parking). Then take a quick ride from Millbrae to SFO airport. The official BART app is a convenient way to purchase reserved parking without needing to print out paper permits in advance. Reserve parking is $6.00 per day.

Nestled to the east of San Francisco and Oakland, sits the suburban oasis of Walnut Creek. With a warm climate, beautiful surrounding hills and majestic views of Mt. Diablo, this city offers an active downtown with plenty of great shopping, restaurant options, and historical sites with open spaces to explore and fun things to do. For many it’s become a “destination location” with all it has to offer, just through the Berkeley Tunnel.

Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, celebrates the news of the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. On January 1, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation into law. This declared all enslaved individuals in the southern rebellion states “shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free.”
