The BlackOut Holiday Market | 19th St/Oakland

Back for its fourth year, the BlackOut Holiday Market celebrates Black makers, designers and creators for a lively two-day showcase on November 28 to 29. Held at Oakstop during Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, the market is packed with premium goods from Oakland originals—expect everything from BRASH skincare to plants and home goods from Hella Plants Market. It’s part community gathering, part shopping event and entirely rooted in uplifting local talent. You’ll find the family-friendly event just 0.3 miles from 19th St/Oakland at 2323 Broadway.

GIFTY 2025: Craft Show and Open House | West Oakland

Gifty is The Crucible’s annual craft show and open house. On December 6 and 7, the massive 56,000-square-foot industrial art studio turns into a buzzing holiday bazaar. GIFTY is the best chance to see the nonprofit in full creative swing. For two days, the open house brings together local artists, instructors and makers selling everything from jewelry and jams to candles and woodwork. While here, watch live demos, grab a bite from food vendors and experience the studio’s metal, glass and fire arts up close. It’s free to attend, family-friendly and an easy 0.2-mile walk from West Oakland at 1260 7th St.

63rd Holiday Arts Festival | Richmond

The 63rd annual holiday arts festival returns on Dec. 7 with a curated mix of handmade work from local and regional artists. Wander through galleries filled with ceramics, paintings, prints, jewelry, textiles and affordable stocking stuffers from over 60 vendors. This Bay Area holiday market lets you celebrate and support the working artists who keep Richmond’s creative scene vibrant. Take BART to Richmond Station and find the holiday market 0.5 miles away at the Richmond Art Center, 2450 Barrett Ave.

'Twas the Night Before Fairy Winterland | 19th St/Oakland

On December 12, the beloved Children’s Fairyland brings nostalgia to its holiday night market. For one magical evening, expect whimsical décor, kid-friendly attractions and hands-on activities. Families can shop for small gifts, enjoy seasonal treats, watch live performances and wander through twinkling displays. SFMOMA Holiday Makers Market | Montgomery St

This December 7, head to SFMOMA. Their all-day Holiday Makers Market will feature over 20 local vendors offering art, jewelry, textiles, fashion, prints, ceramics and other gifts across the museum’s first two floors. The best part? It’s completely free to attend—no museum ticket needed. Browse unique art, meet the artists behind the work and peruse the wide array of creative pieces at this cool San Francisco holiday market. Take BART to Montgomery St and head 0.3 miles to 151 3rd St. to shop at SFMOMA.

Winter Walk Union Square | Powell St

Union Square’s beloved pedestrian-only pop-up is back on December 13 with twinkling lights, food vendors, live entertainment and a rotating roster of local makers selling holiday gifts. Head downtown to shop for gifts for everyone on your list. Expect seasonal treats, family-friendly attractions and plenty of Instagram-worthy décor. The holiday market runs until December 24, so it's the perfect place to stop for last-minute gifts! Union Square and the Winter Walk are just steps from Powell St.

Creativity Explored Holiday Art Shop | 16th St Mission

Creativity Explored’s Holiday Art Shop is one of San Francisco’s best places to buy holiday gifts. While opening night is December 6, you can shop here on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from December 6 to 14 (closed from November 16 to December 5). The studio and gallery showcase artwork created by artists with developmental disabilities, offering everything from original paintings and prints to ceramics and stationery. Each purchase directly supports the artists and the program that champions their work. Take BART to 16th St Mission and stroll 0.3 miles to 3245 16th St.

Swedish Christmas Fair | Civic Center/UN Plaza

On December 6, head to the Swedish Christmas Fair. This annual event brings traditional Swedish holiday culture to San Francisco, featuring handmade crafts, imported goods, fresh pastries, ornaments, textiles, and yummy foods. Dance to live music, participate in family activities and enjoy plenty of Scandinavian holiday charm. Arrive early for the best selections! The Swedish Christmas Fair is inside Saint Mary’s Cathedral at 1111 Gough St., 0.9 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

Rooftop Holiday Faire | Powell St

From November 28 to 30 and December 19 to 21, the Fairmont Hotel is the place to shop for holiday gifts.  One of the city’s most picturesque holiday markets takes place atop the Fairmont’s rooftop garden, where local artisans set up shop amid skyline views. Browse jewelry, specialty foods, prints, candles and other handmade goods. While here, pop inside to see the Fairmont’s life-size gingerbread house and beautiful Christmas tree. Take BART to Powell St and head 0.6 miles up to Nob Hill to shop for holiday gifts.
