Become a Bay Area Explorer on BART!
Organizations around the Bay Area are coming together to get families exploring, learning, and having fun this summer, and BART riders can join in the fun, too.
The "Bay Area Explorer" Campaign is live and will run through Sept. 7. Anyone can join by downloading the free "Agents of Discovery" mobile app and completing “missions,” or games at participating locations. Each mission has educational “challenges” that teach players about local history, culture, ecosystems and safety.
BART launched four missions for riders that will take you on a fun and educational journey from Warm Springs to San Leandro, Millbrae to Daly City, North Concord to Rockridge and Richmond to Ashby! Jump on the train and head to one of the mission areas to activate the game or play while on your commute. You'll be amazed at what you'll discover!
Other missions offered in the Bay Area include the San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport, Don Edward National Wildlife Refuge, San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park, Santa Clara County Parks, the City of San Jose and more.
The campaign includes amazing prizes to reward players (“agents”) who participate. Agents who complete missions will receive rewards as they play and earn the chance for big prizes like a $250 Clipper Card!
