GO GREEN! Mobility Fair at the El Cerrito Plaza BART

Bring the entire family to the El Cerrito Plaza BART parking lot this weekend for games (think Big Jenga, Yahtzee and Connect Four), live music, face painting and crafts. You’ll learn more about traveling locally with the planet in mind, and you can test e-bikes or participate in the Family Cycling Workshop.

“Frankenstein Encore” at War Memorial Opera House

“Frankenstein” is based on the classic tale of life, death, love and identity. Composer Lowell Liebermann and choreographer Liam Scarlett reawakened this story with drama, mystery and a haunting score. Catch SF Ballet’s production at the War Memorial Opera House, 0.3 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

"The Comedy of Errors" at the American Conservatory Theater

The American Conservatory Theater presents “The Comedy of Errors,” a fast-paced adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic tale of mistaken identities and separated families. This play has plenty of humor and heart and is sure to entertain any audience. Enjoy the show 0.3 miles from Powell St.

Hayward Lit Hop
April 26 | Hayward
2–8 p.m. | 835 C St.

This literary event starts at Hayward Heritage Plaza with a welcome from local civic and literary leaders, followed by a musical performance from the East Bay Symphonic Band. The event features poet laureate Leticia Guzman, Hayward’s past poet laureate Bruce Roberts, and youth laureates Ellie Bleharski and Fern Biswas. Participants will hop around venues on B and C Streets and attend up to 15 literary readings from local groups. Join the event 0.4 miles from Hayward Station.

The Wardrobe Project Flea

This vintage and makers market is perfect for pre-loved unique finds, Y2K apparel, decor, local art and antique pieces. There are even $1 and $5 bins full of hidden treasures. Hop on BART and shop the sale in the Rockridge BART parking lot.

Well-Crafted Kids: Finger Knitting at Saluhall

2–4 p.m. | 945 Market St. 

Head to Saluhall for a free, family-friendly craft workshop. You and your little one will learn how to knit using your fingers, hands and arms. Socialize and snack with fellow crafters 0.2 miles from Powell St.

Bay Area Dance Week

This fun, inclusive celebration of movement kicks off on April 25 in Union Square, where Rhythm and Motion will lead “One Dance,” a routine designed for all ages. Whether you prefer to watch or join in the fun, you’ll enjoy hip-hop, salsa, Bollywood and more until May 4. “Pickin’ On The Polk” 10-Hour Music Festival + Block Party
April 26 | Civic Center/UN Plaza
Noon–10 p.m. | Polk St. between California and Broadway

This weekend, Polk St. will transform into a music festival with lots ot bluegrass, jazz, rock and electronic tunes. Kick off the festivities with an outdoor pilates class to the sounds of DJ Haute Mess. Don’t miss this fun event, 1 mile from Civic Center/UN Plaza.  

California Native Homeland Festival
April 26 | Embarcadero
10 a.m.–5 p.m. | Pier 15

Celebrate science, art and culture at the 3rd annual California Native Homeland Festival hosted by the Exploratorium in partnership with the Association of Ramaytush Ohlone and American Indian Cultural District. Here, you can meet Native artists and learn about indigenous practices steeped in traditions relating to the California landscape. The full day starts with a marketplace and art and culture demonstrations, followed by a song and dance performance and forums, 0.6 miles from Embarcadero.

Outdoor Watch Party: Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets
April 26 | Powell St or 16th St Mission
4 p.m. | 1 Warriors Way

Game three sees the Golden State Warriors take on the Houston Rockets away, but you can still feel like part of the action at home. Don your favorite gear and cheer on the Dubs in the Entertainment Zone at Thrive City. Food and drinks are available for purchase. San Francisco Giants v. Texas Rangers
April 25–27 | Embarcadero

The San Francisco Giants face the Texas Rangers this weekend at Oracle Park. Grab a hot dog and enjoy the game(s)! Take BART to Embarcadero and walk 1.2 miles, or transfer at Embarcadero to the Muni Metro N Line and pop out at the stadium.

The Millennium Tour 2025 at the Oakland Arena
April 26 | Coliseum
8 p.m. | 7000 Coliseum Way

The Millennium Tour arrives in the East Bay this weekend and features R&B and hip-hop artists from the 2000s, like Trey Songz, Omarion, Bow Wow and more. The night promises chart-topping hits and unforgettable music that continues to resonate today. Enjoy the show 0.3 miles from Coliseum.
