We're gearing up for a big weekend in the Bay. Whether you're celebrating Black History Month, Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day or the NBA All-Star Game, we've got plenty of action-filled activities near BART. From performances and parades to pillow fights and movie festivals, there's no shortage of fun. Whatever you decide to do, don't forget your Clipper card.

This basketball fan experience at Spark Social SF inside Parklab Gardens is free and one-of-a-kind. Expect immersive games and hourly slam dunk shows. You can also meet star players and snap photos in front of the NBA 2K "Ball Over Everything" mural. The fun is 1.6 miles from Powell St. with a quick connection to the Muni T and exit at Mission Rock.
San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade

The San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade is one of the top ten parades in the world. Highlights include colorful floats, marching bands, lion dances, acrobats and a giant dragon, to name a few. Plus, this year, the grand finale is a fireworks show, followed by a choreographed drone light show. You won't want to miss this annual event, which begins just steps from Montgomery St.

Before the Chinese New Year Parade, check out the street fair. Discover over 100 booths and cultural activities, like folk dancing and drumming, on Saturday between 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shop, dine and mingle in San Francisco's Chinatown, only 0.4 miles from Montgomery St.

Explore British dance with new voices at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House. This weekend, you'll witness the groundbreaking ballet "Chroma" by Sir Wayne McGregor, the elegant choreography in "Within the Golden Hour" by Christopher Wheeldon and the North American Premier of "Dust" by Akram Khan. "Back to the Future – The Musical"

"Back to the Future: The Musical," winner of multiple awards, including the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, has arrived in San Francisco. The iconic story follows Marty McFly as he travels back to 1955 and must race against time to restore the present and return to the future. Catch the cinematic classic turned Broadway musical at Orpheum Theatre just steps from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

Spend Valentine’s Day exploring our beautiful city! From City Hall to Fisherman’s Wharf and the Mission District, there are so many adventures to share with a loved one. Guided tours depart from BARTable spots throughout San Francisco.

Robert Moses Kin will perform at Salesforce Park for Black History Month this weekend. The rooftop park is the perfect setting to witness contemporary dance, music and poetry from a true talent. Attend this must-see event 0.3 miles from Montgomery St.

The Black History Month celebration with Downtown San Leandro & West Coast Makers includes food trucks, music, art and even a fashion show with prizes! Eat, drink, dance, shop and enjoy local culture 0.4 miles from San Leandro Station.

Celebrate Black History Month with Joy Fest at the South San Francisco Library. At 1 p.m., Mayor Eddie Flores will welcome the community before J. R. Rice hosts the musical event. At 2 p.m., catch the short film “Hair Love” before jumping into double-dutch, crafts and tasty bites from Flavas Jamaican Grill. Join the fun 0.8 miles from South San Francisco.

San Francisco Independent Film Festival

The 27th San Francisco Independent Film Festival (SF IndieFest) has arrived, bringing 80 new independent films from around the world to the Bay Area. Filmgoers can enjoy plenty of original stories from creative and authentic voices—an alternative to mainstream cinema. Screenings will be at the historic Roxie Theater, 0.1 miles from 16th St Mission.
