The holiday season is approaching and Thanksgiving is the first of several upcoming holidays where feasting on favorites is a top priority. We’ve compiled a list of places to dine out, forgoing the prep work and after-dinner dishes. We’ve also rounded up places where you can pre-order a Thanksgiving meal, pick it up the day before the big day and only have to worry about the cleanup. San Francisco

One Market | Embarcadero

Enjoy a four-course meal at One Market, steps from the Embarcadero station and all the happenings on the Embarcadero and the Bay. Look for classic options like butternut squash soup, roast turkey with cornbread sausage stuffing, Berkshire pork loin with Swiss chard and potato purée or King salmon with spaghetti squash and shiitake mushrooms. Classic desserts like apple hand pie and chocolate bread pudding round out the meal. See the full menu here; $95 per person, $49 for children 10 and under. Take BART to Embarcadero and travel 0.1 miles to 1 Market St.

Canela | 16th St Mission

Spanish restaurant, Canela, is offering a fully cooked and ready-to-go Thanksgiving meal for four. What’s particularly great is that you can select from a 10- to 12-lb cooked turkey or a cooked boneless turkey breast, depending on your carving skills or desire to turn the carcass into turkey soup the next day. Sides include stuffing, whipped sweet potatoes and green beans. Everything is chilled and packed in a reusable tote bag. $230. Place your reservation here for pick up on Wednesday, November 22, from 3-5pm. Take BART to 16th St Mission and travel 0.8 miles to 2272 Market St.

Luke’s Local | Montgomery St

San Francisco grocery and catering company, Luke’s Local, has expanded beyond its original Cole Valley location. Their newest outpost is in North Beach, convenient to all the Italian delis and pastry shops where you can pick up other provisions for your holiday meal. Choose from small (5-7 people; $199) and large (8-10 people; $299) turkey feasts for pick up on Tuesday or Wednesday. Order your customized meal here. Take BART to Montgomery St and travel 0.9 miles to 580 Green St.

Piglet & Co. | 16th St Mission

If Thanksgiving brunch sounds good, then consider reserving a table (10am-2pm) at the Mission’s Taiwanese night market–inspired spot, Piglet & Co. The special holiday menu includes menu favorites like glazed fried chicken wings and honey walnut shrimp and pork toast, in addition to other special dishes. Some tables will be set aside for walk-ins. Take BART to 16th St Mission and travel 0.2 miles to 2170 Mission St.

East Bay

Horn Barbecue | West Oakland

Who better to prepare your smoked Thanksgiving turkey than the people at Horn Barbecue? Menu items include not only smoked turkey but also smoked brisket, their famous granny’s potatoes, candied yams and banana pudding.  Head over to Tock and pick a time (11am-3pm) for a Wednesday pick-up. Take BART to West Oakland and travel 1.1 miles to 2534 Mandela Parkway.

Luna Restaurant | Concord

Concord’s Luna Restaurant is the perfect spot for those with a diverse palate. Not only will the restaurant be serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal but they will also offer popular Italian dishes like ravioli and fettuccine carbonara. The restaurant will be open all day (11am-9pm) so you’ll have plenty of time to head to the park after you eat for a friendly game of football. $45. Reservations recommended. Take BART to Concord and travel 0.4 miles to 2118 Willow Pass Rd.

Zino | Downtown Berkeley

Indulge in a spectacular Thanksgiving brunch buffet at Zino at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza. Grab a reservation between 11am-3pm and explore the several stations serving classic Thanksgiving dishes, brunch specialties, a charcuterie and cheese display, a seafood bar and more. $110 per person; children 6-12 $49; free for children 5 and under. Take BART to Downtown Berkeley and travel 0.1 miles to 2086 Allston Way.
