This week, we head to Warm Springs/South Fremont for a couple of spots that locals love. One of our staff members is our resident Fremont expert and shares her tips below.
Come hungry to best enjoy this food-based journey, with our first stop at Sala Thai 2, just down the road from the Warm Springs/South Fremont Station. For a delicious pairing, join the crispy fish with sweet garlic sauce with the crab fried rice. To add the finishing touch, order a serving of the indulgent fried ice cream.

Once you're thoroughly sated, trek down Warm Springs Blvd to our second stop, Coconut Hill Grocery Store. Patrons frequent Coconut Hill to stock up on Indian masalas and groceries. Recommendations on what to buy include their free-range chicken (colloquially called "country chicken") and fresh goat meat. Fill your basket with masalas from Shan and follow the recipes on the package. Ever heard of Maggi noodles? Maggi — an everyday delight for the young and old alike — is also available here. If you see a pack, grab it and enjoy a bowl of deliciousness — ready in two minutes. Slurrrrrp!
Let's talk about it.
