This weekend, we celebrate the return of outdoor dining (with the recommendation of where to grab some grub) and a forecast dry spell so you can get outside for some fresh air. Of course, there are plenty of virtual options too for in-home entertainment.Friday

SFJAZZ "Fridays at Five" with Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Pedrito Martinez | Virtual 

“One of the greatest musicians in jazz... a pianist of almost supernatural abilities” (The New York Times), Gonzalo Rubalcaba is the most celebrated Cuban pianist of his generation. Pedrito Martinez, who’s played an essential role infusing Afro-Cuban currents into American music, will join him for an experience to remember. This performance, filmed in September 2017 at the start of SFJAZZ's 2017-18 Season, is a telepathic duo encounter and an intoxicating journey into the thrumming heart of Cuban rhythm. Virtual streaming begins at 5pm with memberships available for viewing.

"All-Star Comedy Show" | Virtual

The All-Star Comedy Show is just that-- the funniest comedians ever in the Bay Area, guaranteed. Comedians on this show have appeared on Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, SF Punchline Comedy club, Cobb's Comedy Club, published books, and opened for nationally touring celebrity comedians. The show begins at 6:30pm and there's a $6 suggested donation.

Concord Comfort Food Week | Concord

It's the last weekend for Concord Comfort Food Week. Take advantage of tempting specials and discounts at more than 70 restaurants. This much-anticipated event draws critics, bloggers, and foodies from all over the Bay Area and showcases Concord as a true destination for world-class dining. Saturday

Chris Webster is a soul singer. Her voice conveys a passion that connects with the longings of her audience. She expresses sometimes-troubled feelings that everyone understands. Nina Gerber is a guitarist and has carved a career out of what some might call the shadows, and she is at last beginning to dare the light. When these two musicians combine forces, the result is an unforgettable effect. The show starts at 7pm and tickets are available with a donation of $5 or more.

SF Sketchfest's "Festpocalyspe!" | Virtual

Join SF Sketchfest for an epic smorgasbord of all-star SF Sketchfest alumni coming together for one live-streamed show to celebrate 20 years of the festival. With comedy sketches, improvised scenes, game shows, ridiculous debates, musical performances and chats with entertainment icons, the show will feature all-new performances and appearances from an ever-growing roster of some of the most beloved names in comedy, film, and television. The show begins at 5pm and tickets start at $20.

SoMa StrEat Food Park's "Very Vegan Sunday" | Civic Center/UN Plaza or 16th St Mission

It's official. Outdoor dining has reopened and it's time to get out and grub! Whether you've been pining for that plant-based, piña-laced al pastor, can't wait to crack open a vegan chorizo crunch-a-dilla with queso, or are tryin' to roll up for some fire curry and roti, SoMa StrEat Food Park has got you covered. This event is takeout only and there will be no dining in the park. Take BART to either Civic Center/UN Plaza or 16th St Mission and walk 14 minutes to 428 11th St. The event runs from 12-5pm.

San Jose Berryessa Flea Market | Multiple dates

The San Jose Berryessa Flea Market is steps from our Berryessa/North San José Station. The Flea Market is a not-to-be-missed San Jose tradition where "one person's junk is another person's treasure." With over 120 acres of shopping, activities, and food vendors, there's bound to be fun around every corner. The market is currently open from Wednesday, Friday-Sunday, 8am-5pm. Walk-in admission is $2-3 depending on which day you go, and the entrance is located near Garden at the Flea and the East Lot.

SF Symphony "Throughline" | Virtual

“Throughline: San Francisco Symphony-From Hall to Home” originally aired on KQED in November and is now streaming worldwide for on-demand viewing. The vibrant program includes music by Ellen Reid, John Adams, Kev Choice, and Ludwig van Beethoven written specifically for digital medium and filmed in locations around the world, grounded with a local focus. Streaming is free so, kick back, relax and enjoy the sounds and sights this beautiful piece has to offer.
