Your BARTable guide to SF Fleet Week

 

Thousands of people come to the Bay each year for Fleet Week, a pleasantly noisy display of aerial action. Biplanes, stunt pilots, parachutists and the Blue Angels all convene over the Bay against a spectacular backdrop. Avoid watching the show sitting in traffic on the Bay Bridge! Take BART to Embarcadero station and walk along the waterfront to find the best viewing spot or head southwest from the pier and climb up your favorite hill to get a vantage point above the rest. Didn't bring your walking shoes? Grab the Muni F-Market & Wharves and head to the Marina Green or until you hear the sonic booms.

 

Throughout the week, keep your eyes on the skies as the Blue Angels will be practicing in the afternoons above the Bay. 

 

Here’s a look at the schedule of events:

Wednesday, October 4

• Ship Tours – 10am to 2pm – Pier 30/32 
• Free Concerts – 12pm to 6pm – The 1st Marine Division Ceremonial Band, the Navy Band Southwest Woodwind Quintet and the Navy Band Southwest Brass Band will all play around the city. Visit the schedule online for locations and times.
• Veterans Art Exhibit – 12pm to 5pm – War Memorial Veterans Building

Thursday, October 5

• Ship Tours – 10am to 4pm – Pier 30/32 
• Honor Our Fallen Concert – 6pm to 8pm – Herbst Theatre 
• Veterans Art Exhibit – 12pm to 5pm – War Memorial Veterans Building

Friday, October 6

• 2023 Air Show – 12pm to 4pm on the northern waterfront
• Parade of Ships– 11am to 12pm– Watch the fleet enter the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge
• Humanitarian Assistance Village – 10am to 4pm on Marina Green
• STEM Center – 10am to 4pm on Marina Green
• Veterans Art Exhibit – 12pm to 5pm – War Memorial Veterans Building

Saturday, October 7

• 2023 Air Show – 12pm to 4pm on the northern waterfront
• Humanitarian Assistance Village – 10am to 4pm on Marina Green
• STEM Center – 10am to 4pm on Marina Green
• K9 Heroes – 10am to 2pm at Duboce Park – watch K9 demos including search and rescue and detection
• Ship Tours – 10am to 4pm – Pier 30/32 and Pier 35
• Veterans Art Exhibit – 12pm to 5pm – War Memorial Veterans Building

Sunday, October 8

• 2023 Air Show – 12pm to 4pm on the northern waterfront
• Humanitarian Assistance Village – 10am to 4pm on Marina Green
• STEM Center – 10am to 4pm on Marina Green
• Ship Tours – 10am to 4pm – Pier 30/32 and Pier 35

Monday, October 9

• Ship Tours – 9am to 12pm – Pier 30/32 and Pier 35
• Bay Area High School Band Challenge – 10am to 2pm at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell
• Veterans Art Exhibit – 12pm to 5pm – War Memorial Veterans Building
