Boba may have hailed from Taiwan, but the Bay Area has its fair share of milky teas and chewy tapioca balls. From Walnut Creek to San Jose (and everywhere in between), boba hotspots near BART are the perfect place to treat your tastebuds. Whether you're craving classic and creamy teas or fruity refreshments with mouthwatering toppings, check out some of our favorite places to get bubble tea around the Bay.

YiFang Taiwan Tea | Colma, San Francisco, Berkeley, Walnut Creek

From a grandmother's name and secret recipe using home-made organic cane sugar, seasonal fresh fruits, and natural ingredients (zero concentrated juice and powders), the freshness of this tea and sweetness of the fruit recreates authentic and classic Taiwanese flavors. Find locations across the Bay. Take BART to Colma with its location in 1.0 miles at 4923 Junipero Serra Blvd. When in San Francisco, exit at Montgomery St for the Chinatown location in just 0.7 miles. Across the Bay, get off at Downtown Berkeley for the University location in just 0.7 miles at 2516 Bancroft Way or Walnut Creek with a 0.7 mile walk to 1349 Locust St.

BART's Anime mascots will be featured on drink menu items and limited-edition collector cup sleeves as well as indoor photos at all four YiFang Taiwan Tea locations starting Wednesday, Oct. 16 until supplies last. Yokee Milk Tea | Montgomery, 19th St/Oakland, Warm Springs/South Fremont

Specializing in milk, fruit and brown sugar boba tea, Yokee Milk Tea uses high-quality ingredients, including premium tea leaves and fresh fruit. Since opening in 2017, this popular boba spot near BART has offered dozens of delicious options. If you're in the city, take BART to Montgomery St and find Yokee Milk Tea just 0.2 miles away at 253 Kearny St. If you’re in the East Bay, take BART to 19th St/Oakland for delicious drinks 0.1 miles away at 1728 Franklin St. If you’re in the mood for a little walk in Fremont, head to Warm Springs/South Fremont, just 0.8 miles at 46164 Warm Springs Blvd.

Shooting Star Café | 12th St/Oakland City Center

At Shooting Star Cafe, you'll find an extensive menu of Chinese and American food, including a large selection of boba drinks. Expect a casual setting and quick service here. Plus, for night owls, it's conveniently open late. Take BART to 12th St/Oakland City Center for boba just 0.2 miles away at 1022 Webster St.

7 Leaves Café | Berryessa/North San Jose, Daly City

A popular spot for young ones, this Vietnamese-American chain, 7 Leaves Café is stylish and cozy. The drinks are simple and delicious and made with real milk, cane sugar and loose-leaf tea. Favorites include Green Thai Tea with Honey Boba, Mung Bean Milk Tea and many more. Take BART to Berryessa/North San Jose  0.6 miles away at 1743 Berryessa Road or Daly City 0.5 miles away at 3931 Alemany Blvd for tasty refreshments.

Pekoe | Berryessa/North San Jose

Pekoe, a favorite late night staple, is defined as high-quality tea made from young black leaves. Here at Pekoe, you'll taste the quality of the loose tea leaves and the organic syrups. Sunright Tea Studio | Union City

Enjoy crafted boba and exotic toppings at this popular spot near BART. Favorites include the Sunright Boba Milk Tea, the Ceylon Milk Tea and the Jasmine Milk Tea. Customers also love the cheese foam and mochi toppings. Getting here is a bit of a walk, but it's worth it. Take BART to Union City for delicious boba 0.4 miles away at 34563 Alvarado-Niles Rd.

Caffe:iN | Union City

Open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, this boba spot is a great place for those late-night cravings. The atmosphere is lively, with lots of seating. Caffe:iN also offers snacks, hony toast and crepes. Take BART to Union City for boba and more, 0.2 miles away at 1788 Decoto Rd.

One of the most beautiful boba spots near BART, Asha Tea House has an upscale vibe. “Asha" is Taiwanese for "someone that enjoys life," and at Asha Tea House, they believe drinking tea isn't just about the drink. Offering high-quality and unique hand-made beverages, Zero& uses only premium ingredients and real fruit. Come here for fruit and milk teas, non-caffeinated options, coffee, baked goods and Hanabi cakes. Zero& also has alternative milk options, and the boba pearls have a nice chewy texture. Grapeholic | Millbrae

Located inside Social Eatery, which also houses two other restaurants (Noodleosophy and Rice Monster), Grapeholic is a great spot for boba in the Bay Area. The decor at Le Dessert Lab creates the perfect boba spot for photo ops. Kids and adults alike love it!
