"The Manxman" with the Oakland Symphony at Grace Cathedral

Step into the world of Alfred Hitchcock. Set on the Isle of Man, this silent film is adapted from the popular and bestselling novel by Sir Hall Cain and is full of suspense and betrayal. The SFJAZZ Center welcomes Chris Botti at the Miner Auditorium. The GRAMMY-winning trumpeter and the world’s top-selling jazz instrumentalist returns to the city this weekend to entertain lucky patrons! Equally talented in jazz and pop, you can catch this trumpeter and master musician 0.5 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza

 

Walnut Creek on Ice

Glide on over to Walnut Creek on Ice where the 19th season of the beloved family fun rink is in full swing in the heart of downtown's Civic Park. The rink welcomes skaters of all ages and abilities and new this year, Frosty’s Summit! Hop on an inner tube and zoom down the 90-foot snow slide. Then, take a spin on the Bay Area’s largest covered ice rink! Skate off at Walnut Creek Station and glide 0.7 miles to the rink.

 

Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square

The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in SF's Union Square is back for another magical season of outdoor skating and festivities in the heart of San Francisco. Hour-long sessions start every 90 minutes, so plan ahead. No skates? No problem! The ticket price includes skate rental. Hit the ice 0.4 miles away from Powell St and Montgomery St stations. 

 

“Some Like it Hot” at the Orpheum Theatre

The musical theater adaptation of the 1959 film “Some Like It Hot” has won four Tony Awards and a Grammy. The funny story follows two musicians forced to flee Chicago after witnessing a murder. Chased by gangsters, they board a train and embark on the trip of a lifetime. You’ll love this hilarious show at the Orpheum Theater, which is only steps from Civic Center/UN Plaza.  

"Glow" at the Exploratorium

Learn about science and light at this winter wonderland exhibit at San Francisco’s Exploratorium. Here, you can see dazzling artwork, play experimental LED dungeon crawlers, paint the walls with digital light and shadow, walk inside hypnotic 3D illusions and more. An Afternoon of Chamber Music

Free day at the Museum of the African Diaspora

Take advantage of a free afternoon at this contemporary art museum celebrating Black culture. The pieces here showcase the cultural heritage of Africans and African descendants around the globe. It's one of the few museums worldwide focusing on the African Diaspora. Take BART to Montgomery St to immerse yourself in culture and art 0.2 miles at 685 Mission St.

 

West African Dance at Salesforce Park

Experience West African dance at Salesforce Park this Saturday. Duniya Dance brings live drumming to this free lesson and innovative performance showcasing traditions from Guinea, West Africa and Punjab, India. All levels are welcome. Pop-up San Jose at Garden at the Flea

San Francisco Tape Music Festival at the Victoria Theatre

This truly unique audio experience works in three-dimensional sound inside a completely darkened venue. Local and international composers like Amon Tobin and Laurie Spiegel will perform their experimental compositions using a 24-speaker surround system. It's the only annual event of its kind. The San Francisco Tape Music Festival offers a rare opportunity to get a fresh take on sound 0.1 miles from 16th St Mission

 

Paramount Theatre Tour

Touring this iconic art deco building in downtown Oakland is a real treat. The historical landmark was restored to its original splendor and upgraded to modern standards.
