Organizations around the Bay Area are coming together to get families exploring, learning, and having fun this summer, and BART riders can join in the fun, too.The just launched "Bay Area Explorer" 5.0 Campaign is live and will run through Sept. 7. Anyone can join by downloading the free "Agents of Discovery" mobile app and completing “missions,” or games at participating locations. Each mission has educational “challenges” that teach players about local history, culture, ecosystems and safety.
Friends gather at Pekoe for boba. Photo courtesy of Pekoe. Boba may have hailed from Taiwan, but the Bay Area has its fair share of milky teas and chewy tapioca balls. From Walnut Creek to San Jose (and everywhere in between), boba hotspots near BART are the perfect place to treat your tastebuds. Whether you're craving classic and creamy teas or fruity refreshments with mouthwatering toppings, check out some of our favorite places to get bubble tea around the Bay.
Outside Lands is August 9-11. Photo courtesy of Outside Lands and Alive Coverage.
Outside Lands is the Bay Area’s biggest music festival, with thousands of people coming to experience the three-day event in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This year, the event will be from Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11. Driving and finding parking can be a nightmare! There is no on-site parking at the festival and street parking will be extremely limited. Skip the hassle and take public transportation!

Mark your calendars for BARTy's party! On Saturday, July 27, BART invites the public to Orinda Station for the BARTmobile’s 20th Birthday Party.
For two decades, the BARTmobile has been a fixture at local events and parades. By hosting a birthday party, we want to honor its place in regional history and have an excuse to gather in a station to celebrate public transportation with our Bay Area community.
Always wanted to ride in the BARTmobile? Here’s your chance! We’ll be giving members of the public free rides throughout the event.
