It's another beautiful weekend in the Bay, and we've got an exciting list of BARTable events worth checking out. From soccer games and theater performances to outdoor movies and concerts, a lot is happening near BART. Don't miss the final few days of Oakland Restaurant Week, March Madness games on the Thrive City Plaza Board or the Cuba Caribe Festival! “Frankenstein” at War Memorial Opera House

"Frankenstein” is based on the classic tale of life, death, love and identity. Composer Lowell Liebermann and choreographer Liam Scarlett reawakened this story with drama, mystery and a haunting score. Catch SF Ballet's production at the War Memorial Opera House 0.3 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

Oakland Roots v. Las Vegas Lights FC

It’s the second home game of the season for the Oakland Roots! After selling out the Coliseum last weekend, the Roots fans are looking forward to another home game against the Las Vegas Lights. Cheer on the home team just 0.2 miles from the Coliseum.

The Bioneers Conference

Oakland is one of the country’s most exciting culinary scenes, and this weekend is the last few days to savor world-class flavors during Oakland Restaurant Week. Jeff is a philosophy grad student who tries to win his ex back by joining a reality dating show where contestants compete for love and fame. Berkeley Restaurant Week

The 13th annual Berkeley Restaurant Week (#BRW25) is in full-swing citywide with a basketball-inspired theme, “March Munch Madness” just in time for March Madness, featuring a fun chocolate twist. Enjoy a “tournament of taste” with exclusive dining deals at more than 50 local restaurants and cafes. Take BART to Berkeley and let your inner foodie take over!

“Art” at Shotgun Players

Shotgun Players presents “Art,” a Tony Award-winning play that explores the complexities of friendship when one of three friends buys an expensive modern painting. Outdoor Film Fest at PROXY

Outdoor movies at the PROXY are back! This weekend, head to Hayes Valley for “Bird,” a coming-of-age story set in northern Kent. Arrive early at the PROXY Walk-In Theater to get settled under the stars, grab a Fort Point Beer or a non-alcoholic tonic from the in-house juice shop and get ready to watch the screening just 0.5 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

Pop-Ups on the Plaza: Celebrating BIPOC Women Makers

9 a.m.–2 p.m. | 1 Ferry Building

This weekend, shop for local crafts and culinary treats from Bay Area BIPOC-owned businesses at the Embarcadero Ferry Terminal Plaza. There will also be cooking demonstrations at the Foodwise Classroom, music and fun family-friendly activities. Attending is a fantastic way to celebrate Women’s History Month at the Ferry Building, 0.2 miles from Embarcadero.

Civic Symphony Concert

Presented by the San Francisco Civic Music Association, this weekend’s Civic Symphony concert at Herbst Theatre is “Use Your Imagination.” Led by musical director Paul Schrage, the program includes “An Imaginary Trip to the Faroe Islands,” “En Saga” and “Scottish Fantasy.”  Enjoy the show 0.4 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

“Murmur” Winged Belonging Immersive Outdoor Dance Performance

Murmur is a transformative project that dives into our relationship with birds through dance. Arrive at the Edoff Memorial Bandstand on Lake Merritt at 1 p.m. for a bird language workshop where you’re invited to tune into the vocalizations, movements and behaviors of birds. Then, at 2 p.m., enjoy the live performance. The workshop and show are 0.8 miles from 19th St/Oakland.

“El Patio Dayclub” 2025 Season Opener at The Endup

AAPI Comedy Festival

Top Hawaiian and Pacific Island comedians are coming together this weekend to honor the birthday of Hawai’i’s Prince Kuhio, born on March 26, 1871. In addition to the laughs, you’ll get island-inspired cocktails and a warm atmosphere. Catch the show 0.6 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza at The Function.

CubaCaribe Festival

It’s the 19th annual Cuba Caribe Festival, and there’s a lot to see and do! Performances at the ODC Theater (0.3 miles from 16th St Mission) feature seven Bay Area Dance companies, there’s an afterparty at Bissap Baobab (also 0.3 miles from 16th St Mission) on March 29 and you can join dance classes taught by Emilio Hernandez González through March 31 at various San Francisco locations. Enjoy the festival this weekend near 16th St Mission.

March Madness Viewings at Thrive City

It’s that time of year again — March Madness! This weekend, you can watch the best of the best in college basketball on the Thrive City Plaza board. Bring friends, family and a blanket to cheer on your favorite team on the big screen. Take BART to Powell St and walk or hop on the Muni T to the Chase Center
