Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square

It’s opening weekend! The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in SF's Union Square is back for another magical season of outdoor skating and festivities in the heart of San Francisco. Hour-long sessions start every 90 minutes, so plan ahead! No skates? No problem! The ticket price includes skate rental. Hit the ice 0.4 miles away from Powell St and Montgomery St stations.

San Francisco Restaurant Week is back! Enjoy special prix-fixe menus at many BARTable restaurants offering deals at one or more of the following price points:

Kris Bowers’ “For a Younger Self” invites introspection, and Leonard Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances from West Side Story" is a fusion of jazz, Latin rhythms, and classical motifs. "Kimberly Akimbo" at the Curran Theatre

"Kimberly Akimbo" is the winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. This new production is about growing up and growing old (in no particular order). Three-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello stars as Kimberly on the National Tour. Kimberly is about to turn 16 and recently moved with her family to a new town in suburban New Jersey. In this comedy, Kim is forced to navigate family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush… and possible felony charges. The Chinatown Night Market returns every second Friday to the beautiful lanterned-lined Grant Avenue in San Francisco’s Chinatown. This weekend, the historic neighborhood will shine for this Asian style market that really shouldn’t be missed. Enjoy food, local merchants, entertainment and a lively atmosphere in the vibrant heart of Chinatown. Take BART to Montgomery St to join the celebration 0.5 miles away at Grant Avenue and Sacramento Street.
MoAD: Free Museum Day

This contemporary art museum celebrates Black culture and showcases pieces representing the cultural heritage of Africans and African descendants around the globe. It's one of the few museums in the world focusing on the African Diaspora. Check out the African Book Club, African Diaspora Film Club, artist talks and more. West African Dance Class at Salesforce Park

Head to Salesforce Park this weekend in San Francisco for an afternoon of West African Dance. Duniya Dance brings live drumming to the city to cultivate respect for traditional forms, foster cultural exchange, effect social justice and engage in community building. This lesson and performance share traditional and innovative performance pieces from Guinea, West Africa, and Punjab, India. This event is open to the public and welcomes participants of all skill levels. Participate 0.3 miles from Montgomery St.

The only thing more fun than a bicycle ride through San Francisco is riding in tweed! The Tweed Ride is a dress-up bicycle party gathering at Dolores Park, 0.7 miles from 16th St. Mission. The group will travel on two wheels for about an hour before stopping for a picnic, a photo op, and another cycle. At the end of the ride, toasts your fellow cyclists in thick wool herringbone with a celebratory pint.

Arts and Eats is a production of Lil’ Oaktown Popup in collaboration with Dona and Pomella restaurants. It’s a fun community fair worth a visit this weekend in the Bay Area. Expect talented artisans, live music, raffles and kids' activities. Have fun at Arts & Eats Oaktown 0.8 miles from MacArthur.

This weekend in the city, conductor Nicholas Collon gives his San Francisco Symphony debut by leading three works with distinctive sound worlds. You’ll see Thomas Adès' three-piece suite and Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto before intermission. After the break, enjoy Edward Elgar's "Enigma Variations." San Francisco Leonard Cohen Festival

Head to Café Du Nord and Swedish American Hall this weekend for evenings of music and poems inspired by Leonard Cohen. Three evenings of Cohen's words, music, and spirit will be featured by many Bay Area poets and musicians. Sabrina Carpenter is a singer, songwriter, actress and style icon with multiple gold and platinum certifications. J-Red’s Hood’ish & Holy Comedy Tour at the Paramount Theatre

J-red, known as the “king of clean comedy,” is an entertainer from Oakland with a purpose-driven career spanning over two decades. As the son of pastors, his comedic style and dedication to clean humor have earned him widespread recognition. J-Red has built an impressive career, including acting, producing live theater, hosting and headlining comedy shows. Take BART to the Paramount Theatre to catch the show, just steps from 19th St/Oakland.
“Dear San Francisco” Aerial Extravaganza Show

Witness heart-pounding acrobatics and breathtaking aerial feats. This show takes guests on a journey through San Francisco's iconic history and myths.
