The last weekend of September promises an exciting lineup of BARTable events. Kick off the fall season with a two-day Oktoberfest celebration in Walnut Creek or catch R&B icon Usher performing live at the Oakland Arena. In San Francisco, experience the Cambodia Day Music and Cultural Festival at Union Square, the Annual Dance Day at Yerba Buena Gardens and the iconic Folsom Street Fair. But that's not all! Oakland Roots SC v. FC Tulsa

Oakland Roots SC is a purpose-driven professional men's soccer team that harnesses the magic of Oakland and the power of sports as a social force for good. The soul-stirring musical, “Choir Boy,” arrives in Berkeley this weekend. This is not a coming-out story. It's a story about the power of self-love. Pharus attends the Charles R. Drew Prep School for Boys and is the lead singer for their renowned choir. He is not only open about his queer identity, he also questions long-held traditions. With contemporary arrangements of traditional African American spirituals and dance, "Choir Boy" is a brilliant, moving and uplifting play from Academy Award-winning playwright, Tarell Alvin McCraney. The first major open-call exhibition invites Jewish-identifying artists in California to submit pieces in response to a central question: how are artists looking to the many aspects of Jewish culture, identity and community to foster, reimagine, hold or discover connection? The result? An exhibition of forty-seven artists reflecting on their connection to Judaism, the world and their own history. Expect paintings, sculptures, interactive video games, video works, photographs and more. Witness the exhibition 0.3 miles from Montgomery St.

T.G.I.F. Outdoor Movie Nights at The Crossing: “10 Things I Hate About You”

This two-day long family-friendly event is the perfect way to kick off Oktoberfest. Whether you linger in the Biergarten, cut loose on the dance floor or take your little ones to the Kinder Platz Kids Zone, the celebration is sure to be a blast. You can also expect live entertainment, gourmet food, dozens of artisan vendors and opportunities for arts and crafts. The festivities are 0.7 miles from Walnut Creek.
Cambodia Day Music and Cultural Festival

In San Francisco’s Union Square, the Inaugural Cambodia Day Festival is a vibrant celebration of music and culture. During this day-long event, the Khmer community will showcase Cambodia’s rich culture, arts and music to a diverse local and international audience. The festivities kick off with displays of traditional musical instruments, classical dance performances and a Bokator demonstration. Other highlights include performances by Cambodian and Cambodian-American artists, like Khmer Karen, San Pisith and Black Spider Band. This fun event is only 0.3 miles from Powell St.

This weekend near BART, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival and Rhythm & Motion present the 3rd annual YBG Dance Day. Participants can learn different dances, like salsa, bachata and body percussion from some of the Bay Area’s most talented dance teachers. Classes are one hour long and this event is open to all. Bring comfortable shoes and a water bottle! Get moving 0.3 miles from Montgomery St.
Bike East Bay Group Ride: Delta De Anza Trail

Bike East Bay hosts a fun ride from Bay Point/Pittsburg BART to Antioch BART on Saturday morning. The group ride along the paved Delta De Anza Trail is a beautiful 12.5 miles. This event is open to all levels, and the host promises to leave no one behind! Hop on BART to Pittsburg/Bay Point to start pedaling.

The infamous Folsom Street Fair is back this weekend. Spanning 8th to 13th Streets, the world’s largest leather event is fun for the 18 and older, from curious onlookers to long-time participants. K-Pop Exhibition “Hallyu! The Korean Wave” at Asian Art Museum

Flatland Cavalry at The UC Theatre

Texas band "Flatland Cavalry" has taken its show on the road. Their third full-length album, “Welcome to Countryland” has gained critical praise from Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, Holler, Whiskey Riff, BrooklynVegan and more. San Francisco Giants vs. St. Louis Cardinals

It’s fan appreciation weekend at the ballpark! The home team will take the field against the St. Louis Cardinals at Oracle Park for the final three games of the regular season. Following a two-year Las Vegas residency, Usher is hitting the road with a brand-new album. The “Usher: Past Present Future” tour is sure to include old classics, new material and everything in between. The iconic R&B artist is a phenomenal entertainer, and lucky concert-goers are in for an epic performance. Take BART to Coliseum and walk across the pedestrian footbridge to the arena.
