We are making extensive repairs and upgrades to the track between Orinda and Walnut Creek stations on the Antioch/Yellow Line on most weekends from now through October. Some weekends include full weekend track closures and free bus service between Orinda and Walnut Creek stations. During these closures, Lafayette station will be closed, but free buses will be available from Lafayette. Some lanes of eastbound 24 will also be closed. Please plan for delays of 40 minutes or more during this time.
On other weekends, we will be single-tracking between Orinda and Walnut Creek on Saturdays. Plan to add 20-30 minutes to your travel time on these Saturdays. Updated information can be found on bart.gov.
Using Measure RR funds, we’ll be replacing track and electrical equipment, installing new switches, improving station platforms, and making other repairs and improvements to provide more reliable, safer, quieter, smoother and faster service.
