BART gets you to the best events quicker and cheaper than driving. This weekend, there's a Bluegrass Festival in Berkeley and a Tea Festival in SF. We're celebrating "Children's Day" in Japantown and the start of Spring in Concord. There's so much to do, so skip the parking lots and enjoy a nice ride on BART to the best happenings in the Bay Area.

"Future Forward" is grounded in the Smuin Ballet Company's past while looking boldly ahead. This new show features four acts, including two world premieres. Don't miss this exciting mix of music and dance, 0.5 miles away from Walnut Creek Station.
The Asian Art Museum hosts a variety show like no other, with the TNT Traysikel serving as the vehicle for short acts of poetry, performance art, talks, and the absurd. The Asian Art Museum is 0.2 miles from Civic Center/UN Plaza.

First Fridays is coming to Castro Valley Marketplace. Think flower bars and fresh sushi. Permanent jewelry and the perfect hat. Craft kits and cocktails. Live music, good energy, all in a fun and family-friendly community environment. The Castro Valley Marketplace is 0.5 miles away from Castro Valley Station.
Get the kids together and head to Japantown for the annual Children's Day Festival. Bring out the kids and friends for fun games and prizes, craft activities, bounce houses, and cultural and live stage performances for the community to enjoy. Japan’s "Kodomo No Hi," or "Children's Day," is a national holiday in which children are respected and honored for their individual strengths, and their happiness is celebrated. Take BART to Civic Center/UN Plaza and enjoy a 1.4-mile stroll or hop on the 38 Geary or 38R Geary Rapid Muni bus to the Japanese Cultural and Community Center.
Celebrate spring in Concord with plants, arts & crafts, music and food at the 5th annual Bay Area SpringFest. There will be music on the Todos Santos stage, a dozen eclectic food vendors, a beer and wine garden, free activities for kids and myriad shopping opportunities. SpringFest takes place in Todos Santos Plaza, 0.4 miles from Concord BART.
Bay Area Dance Week (BADW) kicks off this weekend, but you can participate in a slew of classes during the 10-day annual festival until May 3. BADW consists of hundreds of free performances, classes, and workshops open to all ages and skill levels. Take a look at their list of events to register now.

Berkeley Bluegrass Festival brings together leaders of the genre, up-and-coming artists, and music fans for two days of concerts, jams, workshops, and good old-fashioned merriment to kick off the summer music festival season. Take BART to Downtown Berkeley, and the Freight hosts the festival 0.1 mile away.
Tea lovers are invited to spend the day at the Ferry Building in SF to taste local and global teas from more than 30 producers. Take home a porcelain teacup, learn special brewing techniques, or pick up a few new flavors while you're there. Take BART to Embarcadero, and the Ferry Building is 0.3 miles away.
Beloved comedian and Netflix star Bert Kreischer is bringing his act to the Warfield for one night. This Sunday, get ready to cry from laughter at one of social media's favorite standups. The Warfield is a short 0.1 mile from Powell St Station.
