Where will BART take you this weekend? Will it be to the reopened Children's Fairyland in Oakland, to San Francisco to pick up a Chinese treat usually reserved only for royalty, or to San Francisco's only independent, non-profit, farmer-operated farmer's market? Wherever it may be, or if you wish to stay home, have a happy weekend!

Jane Monheit - SFJAZZ: Fridays at Five | Virtual
A singer possessed of “a voice of phenomenal beauty”, (The New York Times), Jane Monheit returned to the Miner stage in July 2017 with music from her 2016 Emerald City release The Songbook Sessions, her tribute to the music of the legendary First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald — her greatest influence. Monheit's genre-defying approach makes this celebration of Fitzgerald, backed by her longtime trio, a match made in musical heaven. The stream begins at 5pm.

Additionally, don't miss two works that explore the United States' history of racism in "New Work: Charles Gaines" and photography-based installations by contemporary artists from around the globe in "Off the Wall." SFMOMA is open with limited hours Thursday-Monday. Reservations are recommended. Take BART to Montgomery St and walk six minutes to 151 Third St.
Place/Settings: Berkeley at Berkeley Rep | Virtual

Ten revered writers with deep ties to Berkeley – including Eisa Davis, Philip Kan Gotanda, Daniel Handler, Aya de León, Adam Mansbach, Richard Montoya, Itamar Moses, Kamala Parks (BART’s own!), Sarah Ruhl, and Sean San José – have all crafted short stories around a place or a setting within the city that is significant to them. Join them as they take you on an aural adventure from Leopold’s Records to Tilden Park, BART stations to cafes. You will also receive, via snail mail, a physical map (or a digital version if you’d like to save a tree) of the locations illustrated by a New Yorker cartoonist, lifting you out of the virtual realm and inviting you to explore the past hidden beneath the present! Audio stories available now - tickets just $10!
