Red Panda Acrobats and “Wicked” at Yerba Buena Gardens

San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens is a popular place this weekend as it hosts two exciting events that blend culture and entertainment. The Red Panda Acrobats will dazzle with a jaw-dropping performance of strength, balance and agility, all while honoring ancient Chinese traditions. The outdoor screening of the hit musical “Wicked” invites audiences to sing along and soak up the magic of Elphaba and Galinda under the stars. Catch both shows 0.3 miles from Montgomery St.

San Leandro Cherry Festival

The San Leandro Cherry Festival, a beloved event since 1909, features music from Dee Coco & Mixx Company, Orquesta Borinquen and Shane Dwight, plus a vendor market, cherry-themed treats, a car show and a family fun zone. Also, don’t miss the colorful Cherry Parade, where festive floats and classic cars kick off the day in style. Have tons of fun at this historic event 0.4 miles from San Leandro Station.

Oakland Roots v. El Paso Locomotive FC
June 7 | Coliseum
7 p.m. | 7000 Coliseum Way

This weekend, cheer on the Oakland Roots as they take on the El Paso Locomotive FC. Before their 7 p.m. match, support Oakland’s women’s soccer team, Oakland Soul. They face Stockton Cargo at 4 p.m. Enjoy the top-class action from both East Bay teams, 0.2 miles from Coliseum.

"…On a High Note" at the Herbst Theatre

The San Francisco Pride Band presents “...On a High Note,” a farewell concert honoring Artistic Director Pete Nowlen’s impactful tenure. The program includes the world premiere of “American Epic” by Carlos McMillan Fuentes, Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and “Monkey Business” by David Lovrien. “Parade” at the Orpheum Theatre

“Parade” is a Tony Award–winning musical based on a haunting true story. The courtroom drama, set in the early 20th century in Georgia, addresses prejudice and courage and leaves behind a message of hope. “Yellow Face” at Shotgun Players

Shotgun Players presents “Yellow Face,” a funny, semi-autobiographical play that follows a playwright as he casts a white actor for an Asian role. Inspired by the real-life casting of “Miss Saigon,” this production is a must-see performance that dives into identity and the complexities of representation in America. "A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical" at Golden Gate Theatre

The San Francisco Giants face the Atlanta Braves this weekend at Oracle Park. There are also a few special events happening here. Friday is Irish Heritage Night. Saturday is Pride Day — the first 15,000 fans get a free Pride bucket hat, and on Sunday — the first 15,000 fans get a Hello Kitty jersey. Take BART to Embarcadero and walk 1.2 miles, or transfer at Embarcadero to the Muni Metro N Line and pop out at the stadium.

Oakland Carnival

It’s the 11th year of the Oakland Carnival & Wellness Festival! Once again, you can enjoy Caribbean music, dance, food and African Diaspora culture to promote wellness and unity.
