Eating and drinking are not allowed on BART, but reading is. And there’s no better place to pick up a good book than the library.
But a modern library is about a lot more than books. Take the Berkeley Central Library, just a block-and-a-half from Downtown Berkeley BART. Inside you’ll find film screenings, poetry readings, business seminars and more. The library hosts tons of kids’ events, including LEGO building the first Friday of every month.

The main branch of the Hayward Library is located at 835 C Street, about a 4-minute walk from Hayward BART.
The Fremont Main Library is a half-mile, or about a 10-minute walk from the Fremont BART station.
