Every First Friday from 5–9pm, Oakland’s KONO district (Koreatown/Northgate) takes over five blocks of Telegraph avenue with artisanal food and craft vendors, and performance and activities for the entire family (including a Kid Zone on 23rd and the KONO Lounge, Oakland's favorite pop-up art bar, on Sycamore). Voted Best Cultural Event by the East Bay Express for three years running, Oakland First Fridays is a celebration of the city's diverse, vibrant and talented community.
Thousands of people come from across the Bay Area and beyond to see and experience art, be inspired, eat great food, enjoy live music, and stroll through the amazing, eclectic city of Oakland.
