Around the corner from SFMOMA, this is a warm and out-of-the-box alternative to the tourist-filled crowds roaming through its larger neighbor. A small but highly revered operation that started in 1962, founder Kathan Brown’s Crown Point Press has that library/studio/gallery appeal, juxtaposing works in progress alongside final exhibits. Here, watch artists process intricate etchings in a space near gallery walls displaying finished prints in a light-filled lofty space.
