Photo courtesy of Wikimedia. More than a million people come to the Bay each year for Fleet Week, a pleasantly noisy display of aerial action. Biplanes, stunt pilots, parachutists and the Blue Angels all convene over the Bay against a spectacular backdrop. Avoid watching the show sitting in traffic on the Bay Bridge! Take BART to Embarcadero station and walk along the waterfront to find the best viewing spot or head southwest from the Pier and climb up your favorite hill to get a vantage point above the rest. Didn't bring your walking shoes? Grab the Muni F-Market & Wharves and head to the Marina Green or until you hear the sonic booms. Throughout the week, keep your eyes on the skies as the Blue Angels will be practicing in the afternoons above the Bay.
