Summer is officially here, and what better way to start off the season than with an exciting night of music?
This summer, jam out to your favorite tunes at the Summer Concert Series, located at the Fremont Central Park Performance Pavilion. With the stunning, sparkling Lake Elizabeth in the background, dance like you’ve never danced before to songs performed by local Bay Area bands such as Caravanserai, a Santana tribute band and East Bay Mudd, a classic soul band.
Admission is free, so don’t worry about an empty wallet. To avoid traffic, take BART. The venue is about a 20-minute walk from the Fremont BART Station, or from BART you could take the AC Transit 239 bus to and from the venue, the Central Park Performance Pavilion off Civic Center Drive. The ride should take only five minutes.
For those families with restless children, the Kid’s Fun Zone, sponsored by Bay Area Jump, will be available to for the little ones to burn off their energy as parents dance the night away. Juicy cuts of meat and mouthwatering barbeque will be on the menu of food for purchase, offered by Kinder’s Meats and Deli.
The event itself is “free, it’s beautiful, and it’s a great way for friends and families to bond,” event organizer Damon Sparacino says. “Come out and support your community sponsors.”
Concerts happen each Thursday, from July 6 to Aug. 3. The fun begins at 6pm and ends at 8pm, so be sure to arrive early so you won’t miss a thing.
