San Francisco Holiday Gift Fairs | Holiday 2019

Not everyone can relate to Martha Stewart. For those who’ve never put their hot glue gun to use, holiday markets are the place to buy that crafted gem you don’t have time (or talent) to make on your own.

Hit up a merry craft fair in San Francisco to discover clothes, jewelry, art, and endless stocking stuffers that come from Bay Area makers, not the North Pole. You can take BART to buy local at one of the following seasonal SF markets meant to make your holiday shopping a breeze. Another great reason to attend? Each event is free.

Etsy Indie Holiday Emporium | November 30-December 1 by Embarcadero

One of the biggest apps and sites synonymous with DIY, Etsy is bringing its online marketplace of creatives back to San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. The Indie Holiday Emporium is now in its seventh year, and the annual affair hits Pier 27 for two days, November 30 and December 1. Shoppers can peruse more than 100 vendors—mostly small, local artisans, while food trucks and bar service will make sure your bellies are as full as your shopping bags. Take BART to Embarcadero and hop on the F streetcar to Pier 27.

SFMade Holiday Fair at CCA | December 15 by 16th St Mission

California College of the Arts (CCA) was originally named School of the California Guild of Arts and Crafts when it was founded in Berkeley in 1907. The name has since changed, but this SFMade Holiday Fair pays homage to those crafty roots when it brings more than 60 local vendors to the SF school site. Because art always makes a great gift, CCA students will be on hand selling their work alongside purveyors of apparel, gourmet foods, accessories, and more. Take BART to 16th St Mission and hop on the 22 Muni bus for eight minutes to California College of the Arts.
