Bike (a new way) to work on Bike to Work Day

Last Updated On Apr. 22, 2019

Join tens of thousands of fellow bicyclists by riding to work on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Want to try riding to work, but not sure of a good route? Check out these East Bay favorites from Bike East Bay. Berkeley to Richmond, West Oakland to Berkeley, San Leandro to South Hayward, and Livermore to Concord routes are all easily accessible to BART stations. Try one section of a route, or tackle the whole trip for a great day in the sun. View interactive maps with more detail.

If it’s your first time riding to work, we suggest trying it out over the weekend first. With these rides, you can join other bike commuters at one of more than 140 "Energizer Stations" in the East Bay, San Francisco and Silicon Valley on May 9: the biggest bike day of the year. Make sure to stop and say hello - there will be giveaways of snacks, goodies and free BART rides. Additionally, pledge to ride on May 9 and you’ll get $10 off at Mike’s Bikes.

Whether you ride for fitness, transportation or for fun, pledge to ride on Bike to Work Day and help support a cleaner, more sustainable Bay Area.
