Berkeley Public Library

Berkeley Public Library is only a 4-minute walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. Marvel at this library’s exterior architecture and try not to get lost in its five-floor magnitude. This Central Berkeley branch was founded in 1882 with only $100 to start building and 54 donated books. Now, it's a large community center for learning. The library offers beginner computer classes and middle school coding classes as well family and toddler storytimes. For a full list of events see their calendar.
