One of the world's top parades takes place this weekend- the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is the largest celebration of its kind outside of Asia. The two-day street fair is expected to see an attendance of more than 500,000 people. Traffic in the area is sure to be heavy and finding nearby parking will be difficult -- skip the hassle and take BART to the festival instead! Also remember, parking is free at BART stations on the weekends, so it's easy to get to the Chinese New Year festivities and all of our weekend events.
Also, happening in San Francisco, on Sunday the final SF Ballet performance of "Distinctly Ballet" takes place. Enjoy three unique works, all delightfully distinct.

On Sunday, in Oakland, the Black Joy Parade takes place. Celebrate the area's black community and its contributions with activities, music and food.
