BARTable This Weekend: April 13-15
The weekend is upon us once again and we've rounded up the best BARTable happenings across the Bay. All of these events are just a short walk from a BART station, so leave your car at home, forget about parking hassles and relax as we do the driving.
Our top pick on the east side of the Bay is the first edition of Next Friday, aptly named following the postponement of last week's First Fridays due to the rain. Expect nice weather and plenty of twirling and whirling on Telegraph.
If you're looking to bring the party to two wheels, roll out with the East Bay Bike Party from West Oakland BART station to Coliseum station for Earth Day: Going Green N tha Hood.
If outdoor cinema is your thing, don't miss The Florida Project at the PROXY Walk-In Theater in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. Go early to claim a good spot, enjoy a frosty brew from Fort Point Beer Company and delicious pizza from Del Popolo.
In Union Square, mingle in the newly remodeled King George hotel lobby and get down with the dogs at their Yappy Hour event. Whether you are a human or pup, there is a treat for you.
In San Francisco, get your fiesta on with Cesar E. Chavez Day Parade & Festival in the Mission. There will be family entertainment, cultural dance and music, a Children’s Area, a car show, arts & crafts and more.
In Berkeley, Sports Basement is hosting its 5th Annual Brew Fest. Enjoy unlimited tastings from great local breweries. Tickets are $8.
Expect a cool-down and rain to arrive. Get out there on Friday and Saturday and enjoy the sunshine!
