"Pride & Prejudice: Notes from LGBTQ" | Oakland Symphony

Conductor Michael Morgan's intention for the "Notes From..." series is to "hear from all of Oakland's diverse neighbors through music." This year we hear stories of perseverance and overcoming adversity through the artistry of LGBTQ musicians with "Pride & Prejudice: Notes From LGBTQ". Some highlights of the evening will include Oakland Symphony collaboration with pianist Sara Davis Buechner performing the Saint-Saёns Piano Concerto No. 2, Grammy Award winner Jennifer Higdon's blue cathedral, and the world premiere of a song cycle "With the Right Music" performed by Broadway and TV star Noah Galvin.
